The Berlin Center for Genomics in Biodiversity Research (BeGenDiv) has started its activities at the end of 2010 and has already different projects running and producing next-generation sequencing data. We have opportunities for Bioinformatics students to perform analyses of real data and learn how to connect the results with relevant biological questions.
We perform many different kinds of projects related to Biodiversity, including metagenomics, transcriptomics, whole genome comparison, phylogenetics, population genomics, among others. Students from FU can participate on various projects during their internship periods (Berufspraktika and Forschungpraktika) or on single projects during their studies (Bachelor or Masters).
We will send sporadic announcements for specific projects, but students are always encouraged to contact us for any questions about the Center or potential projects.
