The XML-Lab at FU Berlin and TU Berlin is
an infrastructure of hard- and software for teaching of XML technologies
in seminars and diploma-thesis. It was donated to TU Berlin in 2001 by Microsoft
Research Cambridge. In 2002, the lab is extended to Freie
Universität Berlin, group Networkbased
Informationsystems. The XML-Lab at FU Berlin currently is being set
up and will provide students with a modern PC-based environment equipped
with XML-software. The thesis performed within the XML-Lab will be
documented here.
The XML-Lab was opened at TU Berlin on Oct. 19. 2001 with a day of
scientific talks. The program was as follows:

Das XML-Labor an FU Berlin und TU stellt
eine Infrastruktur für die Lehre von XML Technologien im Rahmen von
Seminaren und Diplomarbeiten bereit. Das Labor wurde in 2001 von Microsoft
Research Cambridge gespendet. In 2002 wird das Labor auf die Freie
Universität Berlin, AG Netzbasierte
Informationssysteme erweitert. Es wird dort momentan eingerichtet
und wird Studierenden moderne PC-Arbeitsplätze bieten auf denen
spezielle XML-Software installiert ist. Die Diplomarbeiten, die in dem
XML-Labor durchgeführt werden, sind zukünftig an dieser Stelle
dokumentiert.
Das XML-Labor wurde an der TU Berlin am 19.10.2001 mit einer Reihe von
Vorträgen eröffnet. Das Programm war:
