TOPICS: necessary fundamentals from computational geometry - distance
measures for shapes and point sets and their computation -
point pattern matching with applications - point-based image
registration - matching of shapes, exact and approximative
algorithm - simplification of shapes with applications -
invited lectures by applicants
PREREQUISITES: undergraduate knowledge in mathematics or computer science, basic knowledge in design and analysis of algorithms.
This course will be held in English by Prof. H. Alt and Prof. G. Rote, FU Berlin.
The course starts at 9.15 am.
