Integer Programming for Production Planning and Scheduling
We present and discuss a variety of integer programming formulations for scheduling and sequencing production operations. The aim is to understand for which problems integer programming is a good approach providing close to optimal solutions, for which problems integer programming can be used to obtain feasible solutions, and for which problems integer programming is ineffective, and why.
